HISTORY FILE
A truly amazing history to add further appeal to this charming little car.  Registered new on the 1st October 1965, the Spitfire was purchased by second owner Mr Grahame Bellamy at just three years old with approximately 28,000 miles covered.  Incredibly the car remained in his ownership for 45 years until 2013 when he passed it on to a very close and dear friend.  Used regularly until 1980 upon the purchase of a 1979 MGB GT, the Spitfire was stored until the early 1990’s whereby a full strip down was undertaken.  In early 2003 an extensive and complete program of restoration began with continuous improvement ever since.  The rebuild has been undertaken so as to enable the car to take part in many rallies and tours which it has done so without objection.

An impressive history file contains even the very first insurance certificate from the Road Transport & General Insurance Company Limited in Mr Bellamy’s name dated 1968!  A large collection of specialist receipts and invoices help to evidence the incredible rebuild that has taken place leaving a car that is now wanting for nothing and ready for enjoyment.  A hand written account of the car’s history from Mr Bellamy as well as photos of touring holidays complete the wonderful history file for this delightful classic British sports car.

Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth

SORRY NOW SOLD – SIMILAR WANTED

One of only 52 Moonstone Blue Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth’s with just 19,945 miles.

MODEL HISTORY
The Sierra RS Cosworth project was defined in the spring of 1983 by the then recently appointed head of Ford Motorsport in Europe.  It was established that at the time, Ford was no longer competitive in this area.  After receiving full support from Ford Public Relations, the project was underway with the Sierra chosen as the basis for the project.  Ford Motorsport in Europe approached the automotive company Cosworth who answered positively, but put up two conditions:  The street version of the car had to produce no less than 204 HP, and Ford had to accept no less than 15,000 engines.  Few cars have ever been greeted with such enthusiasm as the original Sierra RS Cosworth, perhaps only the exclusive 500 cars that were developed to become an evolution edition, unbeatable on the track.  Aston Martin at Tickford were assigned with converting the 500 cars, which in 1987 were to be announced as the RS500.  Engineering differences aside, largely the cars were aesthetically similar to the standard Cosworth.  The main differences being the additional boot mounted spoiler, discrete badges and the revised front bumper to aid improved cooling.  This included the removal of the front fog lamps as standard, but with the dealerships offering reinstatement as an optional extra.

EQUIPMENT
Bodyside mouldings, integral front air dam, colour coded door mirrors, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, colour coded lockable fuel filler cap, bonnet cooling vents, halogen headlamps, colour coded bumpers, single plane rear wing spoiler with trailing edge fence, lower tailgate mounted spoiler, tinted glass all round, tailgate wash/wipe, laminated windscreen, central locking, extended centre console, cigar lighter, quartz digital clock, fascia light dimmer, leather gearknob, leather three spoke sports steering wheel, 3-speed heater fan , cassette storage, electronic sound system (model ECU2) with power amplifier, electric aerial, Recaro Sports front seats, split folding rear seats, tilt and slide sunroof, tachometer with turbo boost gauge, trip recorder, anti-locking brake system with failure warning light, electric front windows.  Dealer options; Headlamp protectors, Ford rubber mats.

EXTERIOR
The motorsport cued stylings of this RS Cosworth are utterly breath-taking and nothing short of simply magnificent.  Finished in optional Ford Moonstone Blue (code K6), the paintwork boasts a deep gloss shine and beautifully polished finish.  The car has no rust or corrosion whatsoever and only a small chip to the front offside wing is worthy of mention.  All exterior trim, rubbers, glass and lights remain free from damage, as have the all imperative RS500 badges and decals.  The front lower splitter has remained true to shape and the original Cibie headlamps are protected by plastic fitted covers.  A very clean underside displays original manufacturer stampings on various components.  A truly incredible car in astonishing preserved condition, the pinnacle RS500.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The original RS Cosworth powerplant warrants little introduction.  Fitted with the standard 2.0 Dual Over Head Cam (DOHC) with the larger Garrett AiResearch T31/T04 turbocharger and intercooler, the motorsport pedigree of this car is unmistakable.  With an impressive output of 224HP allowing the car to accelerate smoothly through 0-60 in 6.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 153mph.  With manufacturer stickers and panel stamps displayed, the engine bay is incredible in its originality and condition, even down to the original material fuse box cover.  The correct engine and chassis identification numbers identify this as a true genuine RS500.  The gear changes are crisp, tight and precise, exactly as you would expect from such a low mileage cosseted example.

HISTORY FILE
Registered new on 26th November 1979 by Ford Main Dealer Moores Weybridge Limited, this wonderful Escort has had just two keepers from new, father and son!  First keeper Mr Stanley Patten purchased the vehicle upon retirement and cherished it as his pride and joy until passing.  Bequeathed to his son Richard in the will, the vehicle has continued to be cherished and strictly garage stored whilst enjoying minimal use, resulting in the amazing low mileage of just 29,500.  Richard transferred the vehicle into his name on the 26th November 2001, its exact 22nd anniversary!  The original Moores vinyl wallet contains all documentation from the new car handover, including the service booklet, handbooks and operating guides.  Even the salesman’s business card, owner certificate and unused Cyalume lightstick remain!  The history file further consists of previous MOT certificates to help support the low mileage as well as previous registration documents.

Holding immense appeal for any enthusiast or collector wanting one of the most original, unmolested and truly treasured Mk2 Escorts remaining.  A rare opportunity.

This commanding and imposing classic American ‘Chevy’ Long Box is the ultimate symbol of American culture, and has been for decades with Chevrolet a forerunner in the phenomenon.  This incredible example is finished in factory original Summit White (code U8624).  The factory coachwork boasts a brilliant pure shine and uniform finish, commensurate with the amazingly low miles of just 9,993.  This exceptional example will uphold the closest scrutiny with just a tiny ding to the chrome nearside front arch trim and light scratches to the tailgate top worthy of mention.  All remaining trim and bright chrome pieces are pristine.  A spotlessly clean engine bay features factory stickers, and the wheel tubs and underside reflect the very minimal use this truck has had.  This magnificent classic Chevrolet is as attention grabbing as it is huge, and offers a tremendous sense of occasion on every journey!

INTERIOR
A truly exceptional interior offering as close to new condition as can be expected!  The incredible low mileage is clearly evident upon climbing into the cabin space.  The Custom Cloth upholstery in Neutral is extraordinarily clean and free from wear with just one tiny faint marking to the passenger backrest negating the term perfect being used.  Tailored GM rubber floor mats have protected the carpets from new helping them to remain pristine, full and free from wear.  The colour matched fascia with incorporated functions and switches are simply perfect with all operating seamlessly, including the ice cold air conditioning as part of the optional Convenience Package.  The term ‘time warp’ often used loosely is absolutely justified in this instance.  Beautifully preserved and very impressive.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Optional upgrade chrome alloys wheels from renowned makers Mickey Thompson instantly raise the imposing nature of this Chevrolet as well as raising the ride height!  In absolutely pristine order with no damage, these expensive additions instantly enhance the muscular appeal and the chunky all-terrain Hankook Dynapro LT285/70 R17 tyres have masses of tread remaining.  Power assisted with anti-lock assistance, the front disc and rear drum braking configuration brings this monstrous machine to a steady and assured halt.
