EXTERIOR
This imposing and rare Vauxhall Carlton is the most desirable 24v model with manual transmission and furthermore has enjoyed single fastidious ownership since it was just two years old. Finished in original solid Carmine Red, (Code E 547), the paintwork gleams thanks to its pampered existence which even extends to garaged storage within a dehumidifying air-chamber! A deep polished shine to the pin-straight factory panels is difficult to fault and the common troublesome areas such as the rear inner wheel arches are perfect. Some carefully treated frontal stone chips and a touched in scratch to the nearside front wing is visible and the underside is carefully protected without the unnecessary application of crude heavy underseal. The unique body trim pieces and aerofoils are in superb condition and free from distortion. Originality seekers will be delighted to see all glass panes security etched, including the graduated tint windscreen, still with factory labels as well as original light clusters and Cibie headlamps. A stunningly preserved and very rare Vauxhall.

INTERIOR
A truly spectacular interior with the Athena velour/leather sports seats finished in Grey, (Code 595), with contrasting red piping. The seats and matching trimmed door cards are in amazing condition with firm bolsters retaining correct shape. Only very light hairline creases to the driver’s seat outer bolster can be seen and the red piping remains very bright thanks to a careful entry and exit routine by the long-term owner. The headlining and carpets are in immaculate condition and the deliciously retro fascia is simply perfect! A lumber adjustment knob to the passenger seat is missing. All controls and functions operate seamlessly including the iconic LCD digital instruments with healthy readings. The LCD multi-function computer, cruise control and original Philips Vauxhall stereo cassette are present and fully working. The leather steering wheel proudly wears the Carlton GSi 3000 emblem and the leather to the gear knob is slightly worn. The huge immaculate luggage area contains the original jack and toolkit and even the boot floor has factory scribe markings! A delightfully retro performance executive interior.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The top performer in the Vauxhall range was this GSi 3000 featuring the C3.0i 24v engine with M1.5 Motronic engine management and Dual Ram variable intake system. Power output of 201bhp at 6000rpm and fistfuls of torque measuring 270Nm at 3600rpm, the car accelerates to 62mph in just 7.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 149mph! The engine bay is beautifully clean with original plates, labels, vehicle certification sticker and inner wing stampings. A replacement exhaust has been fitted. The preferred 5-speed manual gearbox has extra-close ratios to gears 1-3 to match the power of the 24v engine. The Big Daddy.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The original GSi 7j x 15in forged alloys wheels are unrestored and display the correct high-polished alloy finish as well as the sharply defined ‘forged’ wording stamped to the inner rim, the definition of which is always lost upon the usual refurbished items. There is no kerb damage and only very light markings can be seen. All four road wheels are shod in matching Michelin 205/65 R15 tyres with masses of tread and the spare wheel is unused with chalk lines still visible to the original factory Michelin tyre. The Dual circuit brakes with electronic anti-lock braking (ABS) is standard fitment and the GSi model was fitted with uprated servo and larger 11.65in ventilated front discs. The braking system is in superb operating condition.

HISTORY FILE
Registered new on the 26th January 1990 by Vauxhall Main Dealer, Ben Whitehouse Ltd of Chester, the car was purchased at just two years old by Mr and Mrs Walker who have owned it ever since. Thankfully Mr and Mrs Walker had other day-to-day vehicles at their disposal and therefore the Carlton was used only in dry conditions and kept garaged inside a dehumidified air chamber. The condition of this pride and joy machine is a credit to its long-term owners and throughout its life has been subject to the highest levels of care, servicing and maintenance. The result is a car that performs every inch as good as it looks and is arguably one of the nicest unrestored examples in existence. The car has been used and enjoyed for 29 years by Mr and Mrs Walker who have only now made the difficult decision to sell due an impending downsizing house move. The large history file is neatly presented to contain Carlton range sales brochures, sale documentation and invoices as well as every MOT certificate dating back to the first in 1993 and every tax disc dating back to 1990. The original handbooks and service booklet are present with both sets of keys and Sigma alarm fobs. Completing the history file is a letter from Mr and Mrs Walker detailing their history with the car and even two 1990 issues of Performance Car magazine where features on the Carlton GSi are book marked! A prize example of a very rare Vauxhall.

The striped cropped nylon seat material in Sorrell colour scheme is in amazing condition with no notable wear, fading or discolouring and the matching vinyl door cards, headlining and loop pile carpeting remain spotless. The huge thin rimmed steering wheel is instantly recognisable as a Mini trait as is the wonderful oval centrally mounted instrument binnacle. HISTORY FILE
This 1979 Mini 1000 was supplied new by Leyland Cars Main Dealer, Henlys Limited of South London, on the 3rd October 1979 and has covered a genuine 2,706 miles from new! A Henlys new vehicle invoice in the history file is made out to first owner, Mr Smith, who specified automatic transmission and paid a total of £2,884.60 for the car. Mr Smith owned the vehicle until 2011 and a letter in the history file written by him reveals that the car was purchased just as he was changing jobs and was unsure whether he would get a company car. He indeed did get a company car and Mr Smith wrote that the Mini was used only at weekends and special occasions until 1987 when it developed an electrical ignition fault. It was at this point when the car had covered less than 3,000 miles that the Mini was shut away in the garage as Mr Smith was unable to find an auto electrician to fix the fault! Twenty-four years later the car was discovered in the original and preserved state that you see today and having undergone a sympathetic recommission process is now fully operational. There have been two further registered keepers, the first of whom was a garage proprietor of whom Mr Smith was a customer and a letter from him in the history file confirms the mileage to also be genuine. The original Leyland Cars document wallet holds all handbooks, guides and dealership point of sale literature including the passport to service booklet and Supercover cards and service vouchers made out to Mr Smith. Even the delicate label tag requesting ‘urgent attention of Leyland owners only’ is still attached to the document wallet! Two original sets of keys with Henlys fob and a Mini range sales brochure are included in the folder of invoices and MOT certificates. An unrepeatable opportunity to buy surely one of the best unrestored examples of British Leyland motoring history.

Mr and Mrs Bryan owned the car for 24 years until in 2017 the difficult decision to sell was made. HISTORY FILE
Supplied by Ford Main Dealers, Bristol Street of Newcastle Under Lyme, on the 31st June 2002, this incredible example has covered just 7,799 miles from new and remains totally factory original. The final Puma’s were produced in July 2002 making this a very late example. First owner, Mrs Hill, owned the car for 17 years and since then the car has formed part of two exclusive collections of modern classic cars. A common trend with super-low mileage cars is for servicing to fall behind, however this example being an exception has a comprehensive service history including the original service booklet with 13 stamped entries. The mileage is fully verified and a cambelt and water pump change was carried out at 7,022 miles. The blue Ford document wallet inside the Bristol Street Ford folder contains the owner’s manual, radio guides, security codes and point of sale literature. There are two original Ford keys with dealer fob. Completing the history file is a folder containing invoices and every single annual tax disc from the very first to the very last issued in 2014 when they were discontinued!

Upon launch in 1997, the Puma boldly hit the market with huge fanfare and instantly won Top Gear Car of the Year 1997 and advertising industry awards for the Steve McQueen television adverts. To drive this low mileage and well-maintained example, it is clear to see why the Puma was an instant hit from Ford and has now become highly collectable.

This outstanding Ford Focus RS Heritage Edition was registered new on the 28th April 2018 by Trust Ford of Epsom to first owner, Vicki Butler-Henderson, the famous racing driver and television presenter, most notably of Top Gear and Fifth Gear. Each RS Heritage Edition was presented to the first owner with the Mountune Performance Parts box containing original components removed by the dealer after the FPM375 upgrade kit was fitted. The box is present with this car with the name ‘Butler’ written on it by the dealership and a small set of badges issued by the RS Owners Club records this car as number 41/50. The vehicle presentation pack incudes the Ford performance document wallet containing all handbooks including both the Focus RS Owner’s Manual Supplement and the additional orange Mountune Owner’s supplement, issued uniquely with RS Heritage Editions. The vehicle has full Ford service history and is booked in for its next service on the 4th October 2021 at Ford Main Dealer, TC Harrison in Peterborough. The car has both original remote keys and there is also a press release document with photographs. Vicki Butler-Henderson owned the car until August 2019 at which point the second and only other keeper purchased the vehicle from a specialist and a cost of £57,495. One of the most coveted of all RS cars and surely the jewel in even the best RS collections.

HISTORY FILE
Prepare to be amazed. Introduced in September 1981, this stunning example was built in April 1983 and is one of 2,600 UK examples and just one of 560 in Sunburst Red. (Source: RS Owners Club). Registered new on the 11th May 1983 by Ford Rallye Sport Dealer, Bristol Street Motors (Cheltenham) Ltd, to Mr S Warwick. The new vehicle invoice totals £8259.28 and begins what can only be described as a colossal journey documenting every mile of this cars pampered life. Mr Warwick quite literally keeps a personal journal of every experience from visiting the car when it arrived at the dealer covered in wax to his correspondence with Ford where they eventually agree to upgrade the brakes and fit the Series X Sports Handling Kit at the Ford Boreham factory free under warranty. He was sworn to secrecy as every RS1600i customer would demand the upgrade! All Ford invoices are neatly filed and the list of jobs demanded by Mr Warwick on every visit highlight his perfection seeking nature. Mr Warwick also had tyres replaced by Dunlop. The car remained in his protective care until December 2015 when it was sold to RS enthusiast, Mr Wilcock, who entered the RS Concours circuit and immediately starting winning trophies including Novice Gold Cup Winner at RSOC National Day in 2017 amongst many all catalogued in the Concours Competition Logbook.

This car will absolutely satisfy the most demanding Ford collector wanting one of the best, unrestored, factory original examples with an unrepeatable history.

EQUIPMENT
PVC underbody protection, moulded polypropylene bumpers, hatchback rear door, side protection strips, rear spoiler under bumper, opening front quarter lights, laminated windscreen, front and rear seatbelts, engine compartment hatch, driver and passenger door mirrors, rear fog/reversing lights, heated rear window, tilt/tip reclining front seats, folding rear seat, front utility shelf, rear parcel shelf, courtesy light. Accessories; High gloss black door mirrors, Abarth wing decals, 6-spoke alloy wheels with Abarth centre caps, full custom leather interior, battery kill switch, aluminium gear knob, digital volt gauge, wooden steering wheel, Kenwood CD Player.

EXTERIOR
This truly remarkable Fiat 126 Bis is super cute and finished in its original rare colour of Ivory Meteor, (Code 205/F). The paintwork looks fantastic with a bright polished shine and uniform finish. All factory fitted panels have excellent fit and linear gaps and the panel edges are sharp and seam lines defined, exactly as they were made. Amazingly the lightweight bodywork has avoided the common dings found on most examples and only very close scrutiny will nothing other than detect markings. All trim pieces are immaculate and the factory registration etched Bespo glass remains fitted. An iconic Italian design, guaranteed to raise a smile!

INTERIOR
The delightfully sparse interior of the Fiat 126 harks back to a far simpler era of motoring with an emphasis on everything you need and not a lot more, however, this example has some subtle improvements! Luxurious Grey leather seating with colour scheme Yellow piping are in superb condition. A beautiful wood rimmed steering wheel with Ferrari Cavallino Rampante ‘little prancing horse’ is a tongue-in-cheek touch. Abarth carpet mats again in matching colour scheme are protected by rigid rubber snow tray mats. The front luggage compartment is spotless with the original rubber mat, washer fluid pouch, factory paint code sticker, chassis plate and offside inner wing chassis stamp. A delightfully dinky interior yet surprisingly capable of accommodating large adults!

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Fitted with the 704cc water-cooled engine with twin-choke downdraught carburettor, power output measures 26bhp at 4500rpm and maximum torque of 36lbs.ft at 2000rpm. Far from a performance car of course, progress is interesting as you would expect from a two-cylinder machine, however, the long forth gear ratio of 4.33:1 allows the car to cruise at maximum motorway speed in a relatively civilised manner! Designed with simplicity in mind, this thrifty motor will provide the new owner with very low running costs and tremendous fun! The rear engine compartment with rubber mat and rigid engine cover is very clean with red painted air intake to help reveal the power within! All factory aperture stickers are present and original factory weld lines are clear to see. The four speed gearbox with synchromesh on the top three gears works correctly.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Upgrade alloy wheels have been fitted to this cheeky 126 and look superb with Abarth centre caps and only light faint scratches and no kerb damage. Brand new Nankang tyres were fitted in September 2021 and are of size 155/65 R13 front and 165/55 R13 rear. Front and rear brakes drums are very well maintained and perform exactly as they should, albeit not up to modern braking standards requiring a firm foot in comparison!

HISTORY FILE
The Fiat 126 Bis was introduced in 1987 and featured some of its most major revisions to include a 704cc water-cooled engine and a full hatchback rear door. Bis being French for ‘encore’, this caused some understandable befuddlement for an Italian car that was built in Poland! This delightful UK example was registered new on 28th September 1990 by Fiat Main Dealer, Felbridge Garage of East Grinstead, to a Mrs Wiggin who owned the car until 2001. The previous Owner, Mr Unson, purchased the car in 2009 to add to his collection of Italian cars which also includes a Fiat 600D and an Alfa Romeo GTV. Mr Unson, a member of the Club 126 owners club, had seen the car in a Ferrari dealership in Canterbury a year beforehand sat amongst several supercars tucked away at the back. Despite attempts to buy, the car was not for sale, and it was a year later that he eventually managed to convince the dealership to sell the car to him!

The history file is simply colossal and perusal of all the specialist invoices and receipts for service and extensive maintenance would take hours. The car has wanted for absolutely nothing and the condition and driving experience are testament to this. The original book pack and dealership point of sale literature is present along with the service book with 14 stamps and most recent entry in September 2021. Both sets of keys are present and three Fiat sales brochures. Every inch a desirable cult classic, this wonderful example is not to be missed.
