Supplied new on 9th January 2004 by Edinburgh Audi the only owner Mr Syme placed a forward order for Misano Red with Silver Silk Nappa and paid £29,800. Adored and garaged with 16 service entries to evidence the care lavished on this example. Despite Audi recommending a Haldex oil and filter change every 20,000 miles and direct shift gearbox (DSG) oil and filter change every 40,000 miles with no time parameters, it has been carried out twice with the car having covered just 21,665 miles, the last being in October 2022 along with a service. All handbooks, guides and dealership literature have been kept along with two Audi flick keys plus the original key code tag and master blade. This prime example would stand proud in any Audi main dealer showroom!

HISTORY FILE
This unique museum quality Mercedes CLK is fascinating on so many fronts, not least because it has covered a miniscule 1,015 miles from new. The Mercedes dealer launch of the new CLK was Friday 20th June 1997 and this incredible early production car was earmarked for that grand reveal at Jacksons Mercedes-Benz of Guernsey. Invitations sent out, hospitality booked and the car centre stage ready for the public to admire. One such admirer was Mrs Jagger who snapped up this car for her husband as a gift and was subsequently registered new to him in the 1st July 1997 remaining entirely in his ownership. However, preferring the practically of his four-door W126, the new CLK was seldom used and on his passing in 2015 was inherited by his son, Nigel Jagger. A Mercedes family through and through, Nigel subsequently booked the car into Jacksons Mercedes-Benz for a full service with the car having covered just 885 miles at the time. Being the Managing Director of many companies Nigel had precious time to use and enjoy the car so the difficult decision was made to bring the car to his UK abode, register it and find it a discerning Mercedes custodian. A one-off opportunity to buy simply the best.

It was available as a road car from 1992-96 in limited numbers from Ford’s Specialist Vehicle Engineering, (SVE), team. It combines the hand-assembled engine expertise of Cosworth and the coach-building crafts of Karmann. In order to accommodate the larger Cosworth engine and transmission Ford developed the car around the chassis and mechanicals of its predecessor, the Sierra Cosworth. A very rare car with only 7,145 examples being produced. (Source Wikipedia, 1995 Edition One RS Brochure and the RS Owners Club).

HISTORY FILE
Assembled in June 1995 at the Rheine Assembly Plant in Germany, this factory specified Luxury model was one of the few RHD UK specified cars to be registered new in Japan. Frustrated Japanese enthusiasts unable to buy the desirable model locally and prepared to pay large premiums, would order the cars through the UK dealer network and import them. This example was registered on the 7th October 1995 and remained utterly cherished until repatriation to the UK in November 2009. Complete history throughout the cars life is neatly and chronically filed to leave no doubt to the care lavished on the car both in Japan and the UK. The car has been owned by the lifelong RS enthusiast, Mr Waterfall, since 2013 and his search for an Escort Cosworth at the time proved a challenge with poor structurally compromised examples being the norm. As a lifelong member of the RS Owners Club, Mr Waterfall was fortunate to be offered this highly recommended example. RS Club valuations prove its high standing at the time and subsequently and the cars upkeep is witnessed not only in the cars impressive condition today but huge documentation file, even fuel receipts have been retained pertaining to the car!
