Further originality can be seen in the supplying Mitsubishi dealer number plates and tax disc holder. The underside is in superb preserved condition. A rare car even when new, this example is possibly the best one left in existence!

HISTORY FILE
Registered new on the 8th December 2000 by Mitsubishi Main Dealer, Humming Bird Motors Ltd on Regents Park Road in London, this stunning example has covered a genuine 5,770 miles from new with one owner, Mr Reynolds. Having purchased the car in retirement, the new car order form and sales invoice confirm the dealer optional extras and purchase price of £9,355.81. Mr Reynolds cherished his Lancer with strict garage storage and whilst mileage use was minimal, the car was regularly used and routinely taken for MOT each and every year. Absolutely all MOT certificates date back to the first in 2003 and a full-service history verify the mileage, as does the original service book. Mr Reynolds was hugely fastidious about his approach to car ownership as can be seen in the frankly mind-bogglingly huge box of paperwork with incredibly detailed notes. Said notes which began even before he purchased the Mitsubishi whereby a table of detailed comparables pitch the Lancer against his previous car, a Skoda Felicia!

Several separate larger folders categorise the service history and thorough perusal would literally consume hours. There are letters between Mr Reynolds and Humming Bird Motors Ltd whereby he expressed his delight with the car and he even kept a log of every journey with notes on destination, premium fuel purchases and MPG achieved. There are two Mitsubishi keys with remote fobs and dealer key rings and a Lancer sales and separate accessories brochure. This one owner example is probably the most original and low mileage example in existence and a serious champion contender for the Festival of the Unexceptional!

EXTERIOR
If being one of only 50 Heritage Edition Focus RS models was not special enough, this example boasts mind-bending credentials of one owner from new, a verified 92 miles and full Ford supplying Main Dealer service history. Finished in the only colour available Tief Orange, (Deep Orange – Code SJF), the car is as new. The underside is perfect with every fragile label, sticker and clip fully intact and bright. Factory hand written pen notes applied to the rear bumper are still visible, soon lost on the first wash! The car is precisely as it left the dealership and even the front number plate has never been permanently affixed. A perfect example with amazing provenance.

INTERIOR
Upon opening the door of this volcanic Focus, you are instantly greeted with extrovert styling including the naked seat frame emblazoned with Recaro lettering, bright blue contrast stitching throughout and brushed aluminium tread plates with RS logo. Climb into the phenomenal Recaro Race moulded seats with huge bolsters and harness holes and you are instantly aware this is a cockpit like no ordinary Focus! The partial leather/Alcantara seat upholstery, (Code AR), is in perfect condition along with the entire cabin space as to be expected with a car that has covered just 92 miles! The fastidious owner from new was immediately aware after purchase that the car was to be preserved as close to factory as possible and as such has ensured that interior protective film to the sill plates and even the SYNC3 8” touchscreen has never been removed and the plastic Recaro seat covers and headrest sleeves remain. Flawless throughout.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Specially designed for high performance, Ford’s 2.3 litre Ecoboost engine in the heritage Edition gained the dealer fitted FPM375 Mountune upgrade which increased overboost power from 350bhp to 370bhp and torque from 470Nm to 510Nm over the standard RS, good for a 0-62mph in just 4.7 seconds and a 165mph top speed! In addition to this, the Heritage was fitted with a mechanical Quiafe limited-slip front differential to limit torque delivered a wheel that has reduced traction and redistribute torque to the wheel with more traction in order to counteract the stability and acceleration detriments of a wheelspin. The engine bay is as new and just as it left the factory with huge Ford Performance badge, Deep Orange Mountune hoses and RS air box casing as well as all stickers, labels and PDI markings present. With the Quiafe ATB fitted to the front axle of the all-wheel-drive system and 6-speed manual gearbox, this sure-footed RS is a formidable performance machine.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Black forged 19in alloy wheels are original standard fitment for the RS Heritage Edition and remain in as new condition. Factory Michelin PilotSuperSport 235/35/ZR19 tyres have covered 92 miles. Huge ventilated front discs are gripped by unique grey-finish Brembo callipers, another styling feature of the Heritage Edition.

HISTORY FILE
This outstanding Ford Focus RS Heritage Edition, one of just 50 made, was registered new on the 31st March 2018 by Evans Halshaw Glasgow Ford. The car boasts arguably unrepeatable provenance of one owner, a genuine 92 miles from new and seamless annual servicing carried out by the supplying Ford main Dealer!

A lifelong blue oval enthusiast, Mr Davis has owned many RS Ford cars in the past and he was able to secure the order for this RS Heritage Edition. The approach by Mr Davis to his ownership of the car was set out from the start that the car should be preserved, and his mindset to this aim was beyond fastidious. The car itself was to be prepared for handover upon which strict instructions were that all factory applied labels usually removed and discarded during the PDI were to be kept. They indeed were and are laminated in the history file, as is every single page of the entire history folder! Interior upholstery covers and protective film were to be kept along with the original Mountune box holding the factory Ford parts removed during fitting of the FPM375 power upgrade kit. The front numberplate has never even had the film removed and RS Heritage show plates are made up for display purposes. Furthermore, absolutely every shred of paperwork has been retained starting from the new vehicle order form and sales invoice for £40,500. Mr Davis also insisted that all factory paperwork, dockets, build sheets and even the Mountune kit dispatch note were kept. Further handover documentation include the PDI sheet and disclaimer letter signed by customers to confirm they would not sell on their RS within the first year of ownership. Throughout his meticulous ownership, Mr Davis has stored the car in a temperature and humidity-controlled chamber and the 92 miles has been accrued when the car has returned to Evans Halshaw Glasgow Ford every single year for servicing. Each annual service has been carried out within a four-day window of the anniversary of the previous ones and not satisfied with the online service record only, the owner acquired a physical service book which is fully stamped. Every service invoice and condition report has also been kept in the large box file and on the service job cards there is the strict instruction, ‘do not wash’ as standard service washes were deemed inferior for this car! Completing the amazing history file is original sales and promotional literature as well as a copy of The Sun Motors supplement where the new Ford Focus RS Heritage Edition was pitched against the equally orange new Ford Mustang GT. Both original Ford key units are present each with tags and dealer fobs.

One of the most coveted of all RS cars and surely the jewel in even the best RS collections.
