MODEL HISTORY
Launched on the 9th April 2010 at the Leipzig Motor Show, the Ford Focus RS500 was a celebration model built to signify the end of MK2 RS production. The most evocative name in the RS Ford world, the RS500 cars were offered for sale to the public across 20 European markets with only 101 destined for the UK market. The cars were factory tuned using the Mountune MP350 kit to increase power to 346bhp from the regular RS’s 301bhp. Each car was painted Ford Panther Black and then coated in a 3M Satin Black wrap, the standard RS 19in wheels were also painted gloss Panther Black. The interior gained unique red stitching to the seats and upholstery as well a carbon-look centre console with individually numbered plaque. Following the hype of Nürburgring testing by TeamRS and a dedicated website, the cars sold out within hours and from then interest and prices have rocketed where demand far outstrips supply for one of the most collectable RS Fords ever built.
