ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The simply brilliant 3.0TiD V6 diesel engine produces 176bhp and a thumping 350Nm of torque, enough to achieve 0-62mph in 9.3 seconds and a top speed of 134mph. The beautifully smooth and quiet turbocharged power delivery is very impressive for a large vehicle and motorway fuel consumption is quoted at a respectable 47.9mpg. The very clean engine bay features all factory stickers, plates and panel stamps. The sturdy 5-speed manual transmission allows the driver to better exploit the ample performance and suits this powerful car very well. It is also the preferred choice for towing.

Premium brand 215/55 R16 tyres are fitted all round and the space saver spare wheel is the factory supplied item that has never seen the road and has the coloured banding still visible. Alongside the spare wheel is the original Saab toolkit, warning triangle and wheel change apparatus. ABS with Electronic Brake Force Distribution offers superb straight line stopping power.
HISTORY FILE
This 3.0TiD Arc Saloon was supplied new by main dealer, County Saab of Milton Keynes, and registered new on the 11th March 2002. There have been just three keepers from new and the car has covered a low 31,740 miles. Two of the owners are father and son and on the untimely passing Mr Dutson senior his son, Ian Dutson, inherited the car in January 2019. During this sad ownership transition the paperwork was lost however the garage that has maintained the car, Neath Hill Autos in Milton Keynes have confirmed regular attendance including a cambelt change carried out with less than 3,500 miles covered since.
The history file contains the Saab leather document wallet and information guides and there are two keys with County Saab fob. A Saab 9-5 range brochure from 2002 completes the history file. This iconic Swedish car maker was renowned for its pioneering and non-compromising approach to engineering, quality and safety, and this brilliant 9-5 represents this ethos perfectly.
