EXTERIOR
This highly desirable TR3A has been subject to a meticulous photographic nut and bolt restoration to the uppermost standard.  Finished in Gloss Black, the glorious paint finish is exceptional with a mirror finish guaranteed to draw admiration.  The spotlessly clean underside is free from excessive underseal to allow easy inspection and appreciation of the excellent condition and intricate detail.  The chrome pieces are perfect having been subject to expensive refurbishment.  All further trim, badges, glass and rubbers are virtually as new, and the nearside tail light which has a small ineffectual chip.  A very expensive new deep red mohair full tonneau compliments the white all-weather equipment.  An outstanding classic roadster.

INTERIOR
This well-appointed interior has been professionally re-upholstered in beautiful quality deep red Italian leather with white piping.  Interior panels and padded door tops continuing into the dash rail are matched to the seat material, and the plush deep pile carpeting is perfect.  The makings of a traditional sports tourer include bucket type seats and extensive working instrumentation to provide accurate readings to the driver.  The correct chromed grab handle and rear view mirror are supplemented by an optional wooden steering wheel with Triumph boss.  An exquisite and sympathetically revised interior finished to the highest level.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The correct 1991cc straight-four OHV engine remains fitted and benefits from a documented complete mechanical strip down and rebuild at the time of restoration.  All drivetrain and engine ancillaries were rebuilt or replaced with correct components to ensure this meticulously detailed engine performs as good as it looks.  Refurbished factory plates and the Triumph Commission plates proudly adorn the firewall.  The new at restoration single dry plate hydraulically operated clutch enables smooth progress through the 4-speed gearbox.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Stunning 60 spoke chrome wire wheels of the ‘knock on type’ were the correct optional fitment available on post 1959 cars and a replacement for the 48 spoke rims.  The wheels are perfect and shod in quality correct specification Vredstein Sprint Classic Radial 155 SR15 tyres with masses of tread.  The separate lockable compartment houses a new matching spare.  The TR3 was the first British production to feature front discs and rear drums as standard, thus making the car renowned for its superior braking ability.

HISTORY FILE
With a total production run of 58,236 TR3A’s and many of these destined for the US, this example is believed to have been first registered in Anaheim, California in January 1960.  This unofficially named TR3A, as all cars were formally known as the TR3, is denoted by the wide mouth grill, external door handles, lockable boot handle as standard.  Having been subject to a complete mechanical and body restoration, the splendidly presented history file contains full documentation of such as well as many detailed colour photographs of the works undertaken.  UK registration was carried in July 2014 with official paperwork to support and confirmation of all levies and taxes paid.  The neatly organised history folder also contains a collection of invoices and receipts for parts sourced from renowned UK Triumph specialists.  Forming part of a collectors full TR range and having covered just 329 miles since the restoration this outstanding example is wanting for nothing and absolutely ready for enjoyment.
