SORRY NOW SOLD – SIMILAR WANTED

A divine Ferrari Mondial 3.2 Cabriolet with an incredible 2,868 miles from new.

EQUIPMENT
Tubular frame chassis with rear section detachable for easy removal of power unit, body coloured bumpers, aluminium bonnet and engine cover, two light alloy fuel tanks, front and rear fog lamps, electric retractable headlight pods, electric aerial, central locking, height and reach adjustable steering column, electric windows, electric mirrors, electric bonnet, boot and engine cover release, electric glove box release, electrical display check panel, full Veglia instrumentation, Momo steering wheel, digital time clock with chronometer, air conditioning.  Accessories:  Fire extinguisher.

EXTERIOR
The distinctive 2+2 Pininfarina of Turin design is typical Ferrari of the period and looks glorious finished in deep Rosso Corsa (Code FER 300/9).  First paint credentials still retain a glossy shine thanks to perfect storage and very low mileage credentials.  All Cavallino Rampante badges along with all other trim is in perfect condition.  The Saint Gobain glass carries the Ferrari logo and the plastic rear screen is crystal clear, again with the Ferrari logo.  The louvre panels across the bonnet, body sides and engine cover are unmarked and only two tiny marks to the wing tops can be seen.  The prominent rectangular side turn-indicator lamps affixed front and rear to all U.S. vehicles remain.  There are themes that are unmistakeable – from the front grille, to the air intakes, to the circular rear lights, this is the perfect Ferrari in so many ways.

INTERIOR
Fully trimmed in luxurious Connolly tan hide the supportive bucket-shaped seats are fully commensurate with the incredibly low miles covered.  All electric features are fully functional and the Veglia instrumentation is iconic 80’s genius in orange slanted italic design.  The polished open-gated gear selector is unmarked and reminds the driver of classic Ferrari ownership with added 2+2 practically thrown-in.  Purists will note the visible grain on the Momo leather sports steering wheel because of the low miles covered and colour code sticker in the luggage compartment often lost in the first few years of ownership.  All front and rear compartments are factory fresh with one tiny split to the boot carpet.  This really is very close to a brand new Ferrari Mondial.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
A Ferrari-cast lightweight alloy V8 power plant with a displacement of 3,185cc employing four valves per cylinder, Quadrovalvole QV, technology and is favoured by many thanks to superior performance compared to earlier models lower maintenance costs compared to the complicated final Mondial t.  Performance is quoted at 270bhp with 0-62mph in 7.4secs and a top speed of 155mph.  A recent full service including all cam-belts and inspection was carried out in March 2017.  A 5-speed transmission with a dog-leg pattern is precise and light thanks to a replacement clutch assembly and is controlled perfectly through the Ferrari open-gated gearshift selector.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Virtually perfect light alloy cast rims benefit from convex centre and smoother angled spokes all featuring pristine yellow circular centre caps bearing Ferrari’s black Cavallino Rampante rearing-horse logo.  A tiny mark to one alloy wheel is barely noticeable.  All four tyres are correctly sized premium Perelli P700z items with the unused front mounted spare still wearing the factory supplied Goodyear Eagle VR55.  As this is a later car from 1987 it incorporates the ATE anti-lock braking system with ventilated disk brakes to all four wheels.

HISTORY FILE
From a total production of just 810 3.2 Mondial Cabriolets this exquisite November 1987 produced Ferrari represents a rare car.  With just 2,868 miles from new it represents a virtually unrepeatable car too!  Coming from the dry state of Texas and owned by Ferrari collector and enthusiast, Dr Raymond Westbrook, this car was sourced by the current UK owner famous for housing some of the lowest mileage Ferrari models in existence.  The only reason for parting with this collectable example is to house an identical car with even fewer miles!  Limited history is present due to the low mileage covered other than a CarFax data report records revealing 10 annual check-ups between 1995 and 2002.  As piece of mind the vehicle has undergone a full service, cambelt change and check over by Migliore Cars Ltd in March 2017 at considerable cost also including conversion of headlamps and rear fog lights for UK purposes.  At this time Director Kevin White of Migliore Cars Ltd inspected the car to offer a professional opinion in writing that the mileage is correct.  The vehicle has a valid UK MOT certificate to enable the next custodian to be the first UK registered keeper.
