HISTORY FILE
Registered new by Vauxhall Main Dealers, J & G Bland (Motors) Ltd of Haverfordwest on the 20th August 1986, this excellent example has covered just 56,559 miles from new. A new car sales invoice in the history file made out to first owner, Mr J V Grossey, illustrates the purchase price of £11,446.47 less a part exchange allowance for a 1984 Vauxhall Astra 1200 3-door! Amusingly, there is a letter in the history file from Mr Grossey to J & G Bland (Motors) Ltd to complain about being overcharged for ½ Litre of oil following a service. The reply from J & G Bland (Motors) Ltd is also in the file where a credit of 90 pence + VAT is offered!
The huge history file includes the full book pack with stamped service book as well as all handbooks including the original Cavalier Convertible supplement. A further colossal history folder contains a huge collection of receipts, Vauxhall main dealer invoices and MOT certificates dating back throughout the cars lifetime to fully verify the mileage and evidence devoted upkeep. This well preserved and unmolested Cavalier is a credit to its former keepers and offers capable, practical and comfortable retro motoring, a guaranteed hit at shows.
