EXTERIOR
Finished in desirable Sarge Green, (Code PGG), a colour unique to the Wrangler Anniversary Edition. This heroic example presents beautifully and is further unique in the fact that it has covered just 9,901 miles from new. The story of this Jeep gets increasingly interesting as the second of just two owners is the Proprietor of a Zoo which is privately owned yet open to the public. The owner has an eclectic collection of approximately 100 classic cars and this Jeep formed a part of the collection for some day-to-day tours in and around the zoo park and was a star attraction! The rugged body is in excellent condition and there are some small paintwork imperfections throughout, visible only on close inspection. All elements of the Dual Top roof system are in good order and fully operational and the separate unused Black Sunrider Soft Top remains in its factory packaging. The Bronze finish exterior accents and special badges unique to the model are fully intact. A highly collectable example of this American icon.

INTERIOR
Inside, the luxuriously appointed interior complements the special exterior. One of two colour schemes available, the Black leather-trimmed seats with embossed logo, ombre mesh insert and pearl accent stitching are clean and in good order and the interior retains all special styling features and 75th Anniversary accents. Critical scrutiny will note some slight hairline scratches to the hard plastic trim in high traffic/usage areas. There is a small surface slit to the driver’s side seat base, barely noticeable. The high-specification equipment, much of which came as standard on this special edition, is fully operational.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Under the bonnet lives a 2.8 CRD 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine with 197bhp and a thumping 460Nm of torque at just 1600rpm. A top speed of 107mph is quoted and 0-62mph in 10.6 seconds. Under the bonnet is clean and totally standard with factory labels intact. Mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox and command-trac shift-on-the-fly 4WD, this combination is at home both on and off-road.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Unique 18-inch bronze finish wheels are in excellent order with virtually no markings and the rims still wear factory fitted Bridgestone Dueller 255/70 R18 tyres showing plenty of tread. The rear mounted spare tyre has never been used and still has the coloured banding within the tread. The braking system is in fine working order.

HISTORY FILE
The Jeep Wrangler’s design DNA and rugged appeal has remained loyal to its roots since the original Willys MA and Willys MB were born in 1941 and this 2016 model is a celebration of this achievement. Registered new on the 22nd October 2016 by Westover Jeep in Dorset, it has only had two owners from new. Prior to sale, the vehicle was booked into Jeep Main Dealer, Stoneacre in Peterborough, for a full service. Insistence by the owner for an absolute clean Vehicle Heath Check with an accompanying invoice in January 2024 to offer absolute piece of mind for the next custodian. A full leather Jeep holdall with all handbooks, service books, brochures and spare keys are present. This iconic legend is special in all respects, more so due to the rarity and low mileage credentials.

The underside is in superb preserved order and displays build labels and nothing other than factory under seal. Without question one of the best existing examples of this American icon.

INTERIOR
The sparse environment of the original Willys MB ‘Jeep’ is measurably different to that of this Wrangler TJ Jamboree edition but thankfully none of the character of it ancestral roots have been lost! The one and only owner ordered a full set of Bestop neoprene seat covers from the US at the same time as he purchased the car and as such the Dark Slate Grey cloth interior has been preserved in perfect condition. Every aspect of the interior is in fact as new, commensurate with the uber low mileage, and all equipment and functions operate seamlessly including the cruise control and ice-cold air conditioning. Delicate paper labels to interior components and inner body panels long lost on most examples are preserved perfectly. As close to a brand-new example as you are ever likely to find.

Raising the bonnet allows you to marvel at the simply incredible spotless engine bay that still displays every factory paper label, component sticker and PDI dab throughout to retain the unspoilt perfection that is only found on such a remarkably low mileage examples. The later Jamboree edition cars were upgraded above standard models to a Mercedes derived 6-speed manual gearbox with is a joy to use and offers great cruising capabilities.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
15 inch Ecco five-spoke alloy wheels were standard on the Jamboree Model and all wheels including the rear mounted spare are as new. The owner decided to ‘beef up’ his Wrangler with five matching BF Goodrich All Terrain tyres of size 30×9.50 R15 which were the largest size possible without altering the suspension. The tyres are virtually as new and the white size wall writing looks very retro American! Vented front disc and rear drum brakes bring the car up straight and steady.

HISTORY FILE
Often seen as the original 4×4 vehicle, this Wrangler TJ Jamboree traces its roots back to 1941 when the American Army needed a tough and versatile cross-country vehicle to handle the most extreme conditions imaginable. The result was the Willys MB, nicknamed the ‘Jeep’, a name that is now synonymous with these rugged and go anywhere and do anything vehicles. Constantly updated and subtly revised, this allowed the Wrangler to remain in such long-term production and the TJ was applauded for bringing back features found on the original Willys MB such as the round headlamps and distinctive body coloured vertical slat grille. This RHD UK supplied example was first registered by main dealer, Kings Chrysler and Jeep of Cheltenham and Gloucester, on the 15th March 2007. The one and only owner, Mr Lewis, visited the dealership searching for a used Wrangler for his wife. Production of the Wrangler TJ had ceased in July 2006 and as such, Mr and Mrs Lewis were disappointed to find no used Wranglers for sale, this was until they spotted a silver run-out Jamboree Edition tucked away in the showroom brand new and unregistered. A deal was promptly agreed and this example was purchased to join a family of classic cars and motorbikes owned by the Lewis family. With access to other vehicles and Mrs Lewis’ fondness of her trusty Mercedes Estate, the Jeep was dispatched only for high days and holidays and stored in a heated garage at all other times. The history file consists of the original Jeep Privilages document wallet housing the handbook and all guides and dealership literature. A separate folder contains the new car sales invoice, checklist and some previous invoices and MOT certificates. Mr Lewis has written a detailed account of his uninterrupted fondness including everything from the initial purchase experience to maintenance detail. Both Jeep keys and fobs are present. The TJ Wrangler is now highly collectable, none more so than this one owner 2,647-mile example.
