EXTERIOR
The iconic Porsche 911 has gained legendary status since its debut in 1963 and the 996, the first water cooled 911 to be produced, is fast becoming a hugely desirable modern classic Porsche.  This outstanding Carrera 4 Cabriolet is finished in Meridian Metallic Pearl, (Code L6A6), a cost option when new.  The paintwork is beautifully preserved with a bright uniform shine and polished finish, and only light front end stone chips and a miniscule ding to the offside front wing.  All trim sections and bumpers are superb, and the headlamp covers are clear.  The factory fitted black hood is in excellent order and operates seamlessly, and the aluminium hard top is as new with protective cover and storage bag.  Having covered just 41,283 miles from new, this high specification example is a testament to cherished ownership.

INTERIOR
Alluring hand-crafted leather seats in 2+2 configuration finished in Black Leather, (Code AD), are factory optional.  Having covered such low mileage, the supportive seats are in exemplary condition with firm seat structure and supple leather.  Very light hairline creases to the driver’s seat bolsters can be seen and genuine tailored Porsche velour mats have protected the carpets from new.  Door apertures display factory stickers in addition to the the VIL (Vehicle Identification Label) to the bonnet underside.  The luggage area is pristine and houses the unused space saver spare wheel and tyre as well as the factory Porsche compressor and jack.  The tightly grouped overlapping layout of the five gauges with the tachometer in the centre are an unmistakable testament to the 911’s racing heritage and everything functions correctly with precision.  A rewarding, practical and perfectly-engineered cockpit.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The legendary flat six 3.4-litre engine in this 911 develops 300bhp at 6800rpm and 350Nm of torque at 4600rpm.  A top speed of 170mph is quoted with 0-62mph despatched in 6.2 seconds with the factory upgraded sports exhaust system emitting an incredible growl!  Lifting the engine lid reveals a spotlessly clean engine bay complete with factory stickers and the Mobil 1 Porsche Label.  The Tiptronic S system with steering wheel shift control operates perfectly in harmony with the Intelligent four-wheel-drive system and PSM (Porsche Stability Management).

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Factory optional 18in Sport Design alloy wheels with factory optional coloured Porsche crest centre caps remain in excellent condition with no kerb damage.  Premium quality Continental SportContact tyres have masses of tread and are of correct size 225/40 Zr18 front and 265/35 ZR18 rear.  The 4-piston patented monobloc fixed callipers proudly and clearly display the Porsche inscription and grip tightly to the large vented cross-drilled discs.

HISTORY FILE
Registered new on the 24th May 2001 by Rivervale Official Porsche Centre of Brighton, this cherished example covered a warranted 41,283 miles with just three keepers, the first two being husband and wife.  Purchased new by Mr Robin Lampon, the car was later transferred into the name of his wife, Amanda.  Used solely as a second/third car as confirmed in a letter from Mr Lampon, the car was subsequently sold to family friend Stuart Pilbrow.

An incredible full Porsche supplying Main Dealer service history consists of the original service record containing no less than 17 Porsche Main Dealer stamped entries with a file of supporting Porsche invoices.  All service entries are by the same Porsche dealership, Rivervale later renamed Porsche Centre Mid-Sussex.  The most recent entry and major service was carried out at 39,181 miles.  All handbooks, guides and dealership literature are kept in the black leather Porsche wallet along with two Porsche keys and code cards.  A superb example enjoying exceptional service history and desirable mileage and low owner provenance.
