EXTERIOR
The muscular lines of this thrilling Porsche still look amazing today finished in Alpine White, (Code L90E). Unique Blue exterior styling to the mirrors, rear spoiler, bumper inserts and door handles combined with the Porsche inscription to the front screen and the previous owners name, easily removed on the driver’s door, leave no doubt to the racing pedigree this car enjoys. A deep uniform gloss shine will surprise those expecting evidence of a hard driven race car thanks to meticulous upkeep and the owners desire to have an eye-catching road car to enjoy and show. Safety bonnet catches, front and rear recovery tow stickers and Tag Heuer logos to the front wings provide both necessary safety features and a great visual presence. All trim, rubbers, glass and lenses are in remarkable order and guaranteed fun awaits the next owner.

INTERIOR
Stepping into the cockpit of this classic Porsche will set the heart racing even before turning the key. The immaculate Blue Corbeau Sprint seats and in date 5 point TRS harness provide a secure, supportive and comfortable driving position and the alcantara Momo steering wheel and gear knob provide tactile feedback. Leaving no doubt to the performance credentials is a partially stripped cockpit with rear seats and carpeting removed along with some luxury items such as the radio and speakers. However, many factory features are still fitted and fully operational such as electric windows, mirrors, heating and ventilation and not to mention the wealth of crystal clear instrumentation. A half roll cage with harness bar is professionally fitted and as evidence of the safety and quality an MSA Scrutineer sticker is visible when the car competed in the Goodwood Sprint. Proof of the structural integrity is laid bare to see and even the boot option sticker remains attached! Astonishing in so many ways.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This 944 S2 four cylinder 3.0 16v engine produces 220bhp at 6900rpm as verified on a rolling road, a slight increase of 9bhp more than a standard car. Maintained religiously by Addspeed Performance Cars Ltd, the number of invoices and expenditure will reassure the next owner of the care lavished on this car to provide faultless performance. Expect the factory quoted 0-62mph of 7.1 seconds and a top speed of 149mph to be better thanks to more power and less weight. The engine bay is very clean. The 5-speed gearbox provides positive gear changes thanks to a fitted short-shift kit and the clutch feel is beautifully weighted.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Immaculate BBS Sport Classic alloys measuring 17inch and 7inch wide rim with an offset ET55 have Porsche crested centre caps. They are shod in Yokohama AD08 R tyres measuring 225/45 ZR7 and all have excellent tread. Powerful brakes with new Porsche front calipers fitted in 2017 and EBC Yellow brake pads grip drilled ventilated discs. Super Blue ATE Racing Fluid and Goodridge braided hoses complete the package.

HISTORY FILE
A phenomenal history awaits the new owner both prior to Trackday Car preparation and since. Supplied new by Lancaster Porsche in Colchester on the 14th February 1989, this 944 S2 returned to the same dealer for annual servicing until 2006 and 18 Porsche main dealer stamps are recorded in this period. Since this point, Porsche Specialists have maintained the car with the most recent being Addspeed Performance Cars Ltd in Horsham from 2013. An eye watering £17,053 has been spent with them preparing the car and strict maintenance including an engine rebuild in February 2016 and the latest service in April 2019. All invoices are neatly filed making fascinating and lengthy reading to reflect on the previous owner, Peter Wheelhouse, desire to have a competitive but reliable example. Various Sprints and Trackdays have been enjoyed with MSA Scrutineer pass stickers to prove but importantly this example is road legal, easy and rewarding to drive. All owner’s manuals, service book and guides are contained in the original leather pouch. The car is supplied with two keys and Porsche immobiliser tags. To complete this fun package is a non-age-related 944 private registration number.
