EQUIPMENT
PVC underbody protection, plastic front wheel arch liners, remote adjust twin door mirrors, rear fog/reversing lights, heated rear window, rear wash/wipe, opening rear side windows, water temperature gauge, reclining front seats, front head restraints, folding rear seat, height adjustable front seat belts, inertia reel front and rear seat belts, driver door bin, glovebox, rear parcel shelf, protective boot matting, Grundig 3049 stereo cassette.

EXTERIOR
This ultra-chic classic Fiat Uno 45 is the desirable Fire model and has covered a mere 21,981 miles with one former keeper!  This superb example finished in Fiat Grigio Zermatt Metallic, (Code 630), has a deep polished shine and uniform finish to the factory paintwork.  The underside is in amazing order and all panels are completely free from corrosion, including all common Uno areas such as doors, boot floor and scuttle.  Minor small and shallow dings can be seen to the lightweight side panels, insignificant but worthy of mention.  All trim sections are fully intact, and the supplying Fiat Dealer number plates, rear screen sticker and tax disc holder remain fitted.  Italian superminis of the 1990’s held a certain undeniable charm, and this super low mileage Uno Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro’s ItalDesign company is no exception.

INTERIOR
A spacious and airy cabin space, where cars of this era remind you of just how great all-round visibility was, and just how simple motoring used to be!  The spotless seats are surprisingly comfortable and remain firm and supportive with no wear, owing to the very low mileage.  The steering wheel and gear knob display prominent natural veins only found on such low mileage examples and all other trim sections are pristine.  All functions and controls operate exactly as intended including the original Grundig 3049 stereo cassette and the standard manual choke set up.  The parcel shelf remains straight and uncut and fully intact with hangers.  A fun and simple interior in wonderful condition.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Fitted with the 999cc fully integrated and robotised FIRE unit, the punchy engine produces 45bhp at 5000rpm and maximum torque of 58lbs.ft at 2570rpm.  Quiet and very economical, a top speed of 90mph and 0-60mph in 17 seconds is achieved.  With 30% less moving parts than a conventional engine, the FIRE power unit will provide the new owner with very low running costs but maximum reliability and tremendous fun.  A beautifully clean engine bay is exactly as Fiat intended and displays factory protective wax, plates and original stickers.  The four-speed gearbox is light and precise, perfectly tuned for a city car.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Five factory standard steel rims including the spare wheel are shod in branded 135/80 R13 tyres, and the original Fiat full wheel covers are fully intact and in excellent order.  The spare wheel is shod in the factory Pirelli P4 tyre alongside the original jack and brace, and the spotless boot area is totally original, even down to factory build and paint code stickers to the inner boot hatch.  Independent brake circuits with servo assistance incorporate front discs and rear drums to bring the car to a straight line stop quickly and safely.

HISTORY FILE
Registered new by Fiat Main Dealers, Thames Service Station of Bromley, on 25th March 1992, this example represents a very rare surviving classic Fiat, seldom seen even at classic car shows.  Having covered just 21,981 miles from new, the first owner, Mr Arthur Hancock, kept the car for 21 years until the second and only other keeper, Mr Oswald Donald, took ownership.  The history file contains previous MOT certificates, invoices and every tax disc from 1993 to 2005!  An original sales brochure for the 1992 Uno range completes the history file.  A wonderful entry level classic car, guaranteed to attract fond admiration anywhere you take it!
