SORRY NOW SOLD – SIMILAR WANTED

A time warp Rover 25 Impression S 16v with one owner and just 9,352 miles.

EQUIPMENT
Driver’s airbag, tuned suspension, ultra violet reducing glass, rear spoiler, body coloured bumpers, bright front door sill tread strips, styled twin halogen headlamps, front fog lights, air conditioning, headlamp road-levelling, rear wash/wipe, engine immobiliser, perimetric anti-theft alarm, remote central door locking, electric front windows, electric door mirrors, digital clock, 60/40 split folding rear seat, security coded radio CD. Factory options; Metallic paint.

EXTERIOR
Finished in factory optional Wedgwood Blue Metallic, (Code JYA), the beautiful paint finish is simply exceptional as you would expect from a car having covered an incredible genuine 9,352 miles from new. The one and only retired keeper from new insisted on keeping the car in his heated garaged and with advancing years used the vehicle sparingly. All original panels are straight and the underside still has factory labels attached. Door shuts are free from grime and wheel arch apertures are amazing with even the coil springs still retaining their green and white paint dabs. All trim sections, glass, lights and badges are pristine. The glass is number plate etched at the request of the owner when new and supplying Rover dealer number plates and rear screen sticker remain fitted. Representative of a nearly new showroom example, preserved to an amazing standard.

INTERIOR
The interior of this time warp example is in pristine original condition. The comfortable seats are finished in Puma Geo, (Code PPA), and are as new. The facia inserts are typical Rover standard specification and add a little luxury alongside features such as bright front door sill tread strips, cut pile carpets and tinted glass. Further Impression S specification includes functioning air conditioning in lieu of sunroof, electric front windows, electric door mirrors, front fog lights, CD tuner and leather steering wheel/gear knob. All said equipment and trim is factory original, seamless in operation and as new. The boot area remains unused with a full tool kit still in the cellophane wrapping. Remarkable in every respect.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The quiet 4-cylinder transverse 1.4 16v DOHC engine with electronic multi-point fuel injection performs impeccably and produces 84bhp. A top speed of 105mph and 0-60mph in 11.8 secs are quoted. The engine compartment is pristine and displays factory plates, stickers, panel stampings and even PDI markings, usually lost on all weather higher mileage examples. The 5-speed manual gearbox is light and a joy to use.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Unique to the limited edition Impression (S) models, the attractive 15” Turbine wheels are virtually unmarked and are still shod in factory Dunlop SP Sport 185/55 HR15 tyres. Although having ample tread and preferred by buyers seeking 100% originality it would be advisable to change the tyres if regular use is intended. The spare tyre remains unused with coloured banding still visible! Servo-assisted diagonal split dual circuit system with front disc brakes and rear drums bring the car to an assured halt safely.

HISTORY FILE
This incredibly low mileage example was registered new on the 2nd March 2004 by supplying Rover Main Dealer, Reg Vardy Plc in Stockton. The first and only owner, Mr Alfred Green, ordered the car in Impression S specification as well as Wedgwood Blue metallic paint, a factory cost option. With zero previous owners on the V5 registration documents, this genuine one owner example is ready for its second owner after Mr Green made the difficult decision to cease driving due to advancing years. There are six stamped entries in the service book from the supplying dealer and specialist Rovertec, the most recent in March 2018 at 9,280 miles. A further history file contains invoices and previous MOT certificates as well as MOT records to fully verify the incredibly low mileage. The original Rover book pack with handbook, vehicle security code cards and spare keys are accompanied by the Reg Vardy document file and an original sales brochure.

A perfect entry into affordable classic car ownership with an immaculate surviving model now deserving of an appreciative new owner and Rover aficionado.
