MODEL HISTORY
Fantic Motor was created in Barzago near Milan by Henry Keppel and Mario Agrati circa 1968.  The aim was to produce fun bikes for the USA market, they produced a successful range of mini bikes, including trikes and choppers before they set about building their first motorcycle in 1971.  Described by Motorcycle Mechanics Magazine in 1977 as the closest a moped will ever get to a real motorcycle, the Fantic GT was faster than other Fantic models of the time also being more smooth and comfortable.  It GT was found to be reliable and easy to start with the controls positive and responsive.

EQUIPMENT
Stainless steel front and rear mudguards, rubber front mudguard extender, chrome rear view mirrors, Ceriani rear shock absorbers, CEV headlamp and speedometer, rear tail light with reflector, rear luggage rack, electromagnetic horn, engine cut-out button, fuel valve, original Fantic motor embossed seat, chrome exhaust.

HISTORY FILE
Bought new for a sum equivalent to £325 in April 1977 by the first owner.  This fantastic moped started life in the warm climates of Italy where is was used for the first few years of its life before being laid up in a barn.  The second and current owner discovered this bike whist on holiday in Italy brought the bike into the uk.  On its return to the uk it under went some light restoration and recommissioning before being used as a display bike in a private collection.  A history file with the bike contains an independent report by the Old Italian Bike Register where it was described as being in excellent condition and being 100% correct as it left the factory!  With the report is an official dating and confirmation of authenticity certificate.

This impeccable collectors bike has only now being made available by the downsizing of the current owner’s world class moped collection.
