This stunning example is finished in original Forest Green (code T1) over Crystal Green (code 61). The factory paint has a glorious deep uniform shine owing to the remarkably low miles covered and the truly cosseted ownership. All factory panels are straight with even gaps and free from corrosion, and the underside is structurally perfect having been protected from new with no repair work undertaken or required. Close scrutiny will reveal only very minor markings which are left untreated to retain the factory finish. Worthy of mention is a light scratch to the nearside front wing edge and a touched in scratch to the rear nearside wing as well as two miniscule dings to the roof. A handful of very light scratches on detailed inspection are expected on an unrestored example but serve as to highlight the vehicles fantastic original nature. Supplying dealer rear number plate and screen sticker remain as does the original registration mark etched glass all round. All trim sections are spotless including the Ford accessory grill with built in Hella driving lamps. The original grille also comes with the car. A rare surviving classic Ford in outstanding preserved order.

The spotless colour keyed carpets, matching door cards and perforated headlining firmly uphold the showroom fresh appeal. A previous owner has even protected the rear door cards with a cellophane covering! All switchgear and functions operate exactly as intended. The perfect dashboard has suffered no cracks or distortion and the steering wheel displays the cars low mileage credentials with veins still prominent. A period Smiths quartz digital clock was fitted into the ashtray space as an accessory when new but the original unused ashtray comes with the car. This truly exceptional interior is a real credit to the cars cherished past.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

With a power output of 73bhp, a top speed of 93mph and a 0-60 time of 13.0 seconds allow the car to match the pace of modern traffic with ease. The engine is whisper quiet and wonderfully smooth having benefitted from previous ownership by a retired mechanical engineer.
