EXTERIOR
Chosen by BMW as the promotional launch colour for the E46 M3, this phenomenal example is finished in Phoenix Yellow Metallic (code 445).  The vibrant factory original paint finish is simply magnificent with a brilliant polished shine and uniform presence throughout.  Extremely faint stone chips to the lower front bumper can be detected along with a miniscule touched in scratch to the nearside rear quarter panel and bonnet.  All trim sections and discreet BMW M badging are in flawless condition and the supplying dealer number plates and rear screen sticker remain.  Under bonnet splendour is guaranteed as the area is spotlessly clean, exactly as it left the production line.  This beautifully presented and unmolested example every inch reflects its low owner, low mileage cherished credentials.  An absolute must for any performance BMW aficionado.

INTERIOR
Soft luxurious nappa leather in Kiwi (Code N50V) with Black interior trim is the perfect combination for the vivacious exterior colour scheme.  Hugely supportive M sports seats and the driver inclined cockpit hint towards the race breed pedigree of this awesome machine.  The beautifully clean upholstery portrays all the hallmarks a fastidious ownership and devoted upkeep with only tiny hairline creases to the driver’s seat bolster barely worthy of mention.  The spotlessly clean carpets are wonderfully preserved having been protected by BMW floor mats from new which are equally clean having been protected themselves by a second set of mats!  The chunky M leather multi-function steering wheel is simply perfect with the distinctive M blue and red stitching providing a subtle insight as to just how special this BMW is.  To describe this example as showroom fresh is truly befitting and the fantastic presentation is a testament to the cherished ownership.  All functions, gauges and information systems perform seamlessly, just as you would expect from a vehicle maintained exclusively by BMW.  Even the Motorola V.3690 mobile phone supplied as an optional extra remains with the car!  A genuine BMW cup holder is supplied as an alternative to the phone holder should the next owner desire.  Completely original and far superior to the usual offerings, this E46 must not be missed.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
A ferocious and true performance legend.  Designed solely with pure driving exhilaration in mind, to experience the E46 M3 is an unforgettable experience and truly addictive.  The 6 cylinder in-line powerplant with advanced technological marvels is nothing short of a genius in engineering.  Little more needs to be said other than to quote performance figures of an electronically limited top speed of 155mph and 0-62 time of just 5.2 seconds.  The factory optional SMG drivelogic system offers a hugely diverse range of settings to suit the drivers mood delivering everything from the fully automatic relaxed and smooth to the phenomenally quick manual gearchanges.  In maximum Race mode, rocker switches on the steering wheel allow shifting in less than 80 milliseconds with power flow interrupted for less than 150 milliseconds.  True supercar credentials.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Factory optional expensive 19in BMW M light alloy wheels in double-spoke styling 67 are polished and forged and remain in amazing unrestored condition.  With absolutely no lacquer peel, just two tiny scratches to the offside rear wheel can be seen on an otherwise pristine set.  The correct Michelin Pilot Super Sport items measuring 225/40 ZR19 and 255/35 ZR19 front and rear respectively have masses of tread remaining.  The high performance braking system featuring compound discs brakes safely masters the staggering power and is everything you would expect of this ultimate driving machine.

HISTORY FILE
A simply tremendous history file sets this example well above the rest.  Supplied new by Sycamore BMW in Peterborough on 10th August 2002 to first keeper Mr Hallacy who kept the car until March 2013, with just one further keeper since.  A new car sales invoice outlines the purchase price of £45,075.08 including factory options of £4,845 and accessories of £860.08.  A complete BMW Main Dealer service history provides a fascinating insight to the life this M3 has led throughout the mere 54,501 miles covered.  A colossal file is beautifully presented with every single service invoice, receipt and MOT certificate chronologically placed along with the original service booklet with a full complement of BMW service stamps including an Inspection II entry in August 2014 at 51,847 miles.  The vitally important running in check required within 400 miles of the 1,200 mile marker in order to maintain the manufacturer warranty was carried out and stamped at 1,272 miles.  A known area requiring observation is the rear subframe which was inspected and given the all clear by BMW Main Agent Stephen James in April 2013, evidenced in the history file.  Three sets of keys and the complete A5 leather wallet with every original book pack complete the history file.

Even before taking this astonishing E46 M3 on a test drive, the enthusiast will be astounded by the history file and the condition of the car as a result of the fastidious ownership.  To drive this amazing example further enhances the experience.  A true automotive legend.
