EXTERIOR
Built to celebrate 60 years of sports car prowess, Jaguar announced two new Celebration models in the form of a 2+2 Coupe and Convertible.  This stunning Coupe example is finished in original Flamenco Red Metallic (code CFH) which compliments the elegant sporting lines of this classic tourer.  The paintwork boasts an incredible deep glossy shine and uniform finish that simply fascinates onlookers.  Only very minimal and faint touched in stone chips to the bonnet and front wings can be detected upon very close scrutiny.  The beautiful quality chrome enhancements are mirror bright with only a very faint mark to the rear offside chrome bumper corner section.  The factory twin coachlines and enamel Jaguar Growler bonnet badge are still attached.  The nearside headlamp has a small chip.  Lifting the forward-hinged bonnet reveals an immaculately clean engine compartment with all warning stickers, identification plates and labels perfectly intact.  A final incarnation of the captivating XJS marque exceptionally represented in this superb preserved example.

INTERIOR
A sumptuous and luxurious interior is simply beautiful trimmed in supple Oatmeal leather, (Code AGD) and the sports electric seats are every bit as comfortable and supportive as they look.  Hand-polished figured sapwood veneers and a hardwood gearknob complement the interior and the Celebration model specific wooden steering wheel and Jaguar Leaper embossed seats remain true to this special edition.  The headlining is tight and clean and completely free from common sagging issues.  The electric clock is temperamental.  All the controls, switches and gauges function perfectly including the cruise control system and the factory fitted stereo unit with six disc changer.  The carpeted boot area shows minimal use with tools present.  True Jaguar indulgence.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The revised 4.0 litre AJ16 engine with twin overhead camshafts and a lightweight alloy cylinder head housing four valves per cylinder offers 238bhp and 382Nm of torque.  Power and refinement is guaranteed with 0-60mph despatched in 7.6 seconds and a top speed of 147mph.  The standard four-speed automatic transmission with switchable Normal and Sport modes is seamless.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The factory fitted 7 x 16in Celebration Aerosport alloy wheels are in perfect order and instantly attract your gaze having been professional refurbished to correct diamond turned finish.  Quality low profile 225/55 ZR16 tyres have masses of tread remaining.  The electronically controlled anti-lock braking system with YAW control grips relentlessly to all four discs offering safe, consistent and predictable stopping power.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new by Jaguar Main Dealers Johnsons of Wragby on the 14th August 1995 this vehicle has had just one former keeper from new.  The previous keeper Group Captain Ronald A Edwards OBE had owned the vehicle from two years old until his passing in 2014.   Maintained impeccably within the Jaguar Main Dealer network or by independent marque specialists, the service booklet contains thirty stamped entries as well as a fascinating and hugely comprehensive hand written log of all work carried out, upheld to a military disciplined standard!  The most recent service entry was carried out in 2014 at 133,616 miles, the vehicle has now covered 133,982 miles.  The service booklet also contains almost every previous tax disc neatly fixed into the rear pages to further emphasise the previous owner’s dedication to document the cars history.

A full complement of handbooks including the radio guides and aftercare literature are contained within the black A5 leather folder along with two sets of keys.  A history file that leaves in no doubt the exemplary care and maintenance this highly desirable final edition XJS has enjoyed.  One for the discerning enthusiast.
